Standing In Fury's way is the formidable Klitschko, who alongside his brother Vitali has ruled the heavyweight division since he won his first world title against Chris Byrd in 2000. "All of Europe wants to see me beat him. For far too long Wladimir and his brother have spoiled boxing with their boring jab-and-grab style.

"I am the new blood in the heavyweight division and on October 24 the world will see me send him packing out of the heavyweight division for good."

Adam Smith, executive producer of Sky Sports boxing, said: "There's nothing quite like a British fighter challenging for the ultimate prize in our sport - the world heavyweight title.

Klitschko has much more experience, but will Fury's age prove the difference?

"We've enjoyed magnificent, emotional nights like Frank Bruno defeating Oliver McCall, and Lennox Lewis unifying the crown against Evander Holyfield, before crushing Iron Mike Tyson. So now can the huge 6ft 9in undefeated and unpredictable Tyson Fury conquer the world?

"It promises to be a great night in Sheffield too where Kell Brook is the star attraction in front of a fanatical home crowd against Diego Chaves. The challenger is a tough fighter who has fought many of the top names in the division including Timothy Bradley, Brandon Rios and Keith Thurman."
