Tyson Fury is not interested in fighting the returning David Haye – unless he is defending world titles, says trainer Peter Fury.
Haye has announced a comeback after a three-year absence for the ring, signing a deal to box Mark De Mori in London in January, just days before Fury challenges for Wladimir Klitschko's WBA Super, WBO and IBF titles live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Since his last fight in 2012, the 35-year-old Haye twice withdrew from fights with Fury due to injury and according to Fury's uncle and trainer Peter, he will not be granted a third chance unless gold is up for grabs.
"The only way he could fight Tyson is if he got himself into a mandatory position for one of his belts," Peter told World Boxing News.
"If Tyson becomes champion, he won't be relinquishing his belts or stepping aside."
The undefeated Fury (24-0) was left without a fight on two occasions when trying to make Haye his biggest-name victim leading to significant setbacks before his world championship fight this weekend.
As such, neither Tyson nor his cousin Hughie (17-0) would be interested in crossing paths with the 35-year-old former world champion again.
Peter said: "The return of David Haye has no bearing whatsoever on what we are doing with Tyson and Hughie.
"It is business at the end of the day and good luck to him on his comeback, but we are not interested at all. We've had very bad, frustrating experiences with him and have no interest in any fight down the line."
Wladimir Klitschko vs Tyson Fury, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office on November 28, is now available to order via your Sky remote, phone and online.
