Fury and Klitschko's pre-fight press conference has been dominated by the ongoing row over gloves

Tyson Fury's trainer - his uncle, Peter Fury - is convinced the row over gloves ahead of the world heavyweight title clash with Wladimir Klitschko will be resolved by Friday.

WBA Super, WBO and IBF champion Klitschko chose Paffen gloves for the showdown, live on Sky Sports Box Office, but Fury found a test pair sent to him by the manufacturer uncomfortable to train with.

A pre-fight row seemed to be brewing, with Fury was forced to wait for a second test pair to be supplied by Paffen and is still awaiting their delivery ahead Saturday night's showdown in Germany.

But speaking at the pre-fight news conference in Dusseldorf, Peter Fury says he is convinced the row will not overshadow this weekend's titanic clash.

"He [Tyson] is hitting and it's bending his thumb back," Peter said.

"The thumb is sticking out an inch. Tyson showed Paffen the glove on video, on FaceTime.

"I don't know what the issue is. We will have the gloves. End of story. To make the fight fair, we have to have these gloves."

Klitschko's manager Bernd Bonte was then asked whether the problem with Fury's fight gloves could prevent the fight from going ahead.

"The gloves you are talking about were protoypes and were sent to the fabrication in Pakistan or India from Paffen Sports, a well-reputed company," he replied.

"We hope that they are here on time."

But Mick Hennessy immediately hit back by emphasising Tyson needs the gloves as soon as possible.

"Any other rival manufacturer in the world - like Reyes - would get us a great selection within 24 hours. We need those gloves."

But Bonte was quick to point out that he felt the Fury camp were to blame for the ongoing dispute about the Wilmslow fighter's gloves.

David Haye says Tyson Fury has no more than a puncher's chance of beating Wladimir Klitschko

"We have a contract and we go with the contract," he said. "We will not discuss it in front of the media. Everything else will be organised and decided by the governing bodies at the rules meeting.

"Team Fury took five weeks to decide. I don't know whether you have to be an amateur or a professional to take five weeks to decide.

"We should not discuss this here. It is your fault [he told Hennessy] but it doesn't matter - we will have the gloves on Friday."

Fury has an unblemished record with 24 wins from 24 fights ahead of his clash with Klitschko and is confident he will return home this weekend as heavyweight champion of the world.

"It's not a worry for me," Fury told Sky Sports News HQ about the gloves row.

"It has to be sorted, and I'm confident that my team will sort it. When the gloves are off there's no stopping me - try and hold me back!"

Tyson Fury told Wladimir Klitschko that he is 'coming very fast' for the heavyweight champion before suggesting the Ukrainian is old.
