Anthony Joshua’s next opponent will be announced at 6pm on Sunday, promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed.
The rising heavyweight contender will box at The O2 Arena in London on April 9 and the wait to find out his next foe will soon be over.
"At 6pm this evening, across our social media, we will be announcing @anthonyfjoshua next fight at @TheO2 on April 9," Matchroom promoter Hearn said on Twitter on Sunday morning.
"Today's the day," Joshua added moments later.
Hearn has already admitted that negotiations have taken place with Charles Martin, the American who recently won the vacant IBF heavyweight title after it was stripped from Tyson Fury.
Joshua would be thrust into his first world championship fight should Martin be confirmed as the opponent for April, but Hearn said last week: "He's not our only option. We've got three or four others that we're looking at."
Hearn's tweet came hours after WBA 'Super' and WBO heavyweight champion Fury sent his own cryptic message.
Fury is scheduled for a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko, whom he defeated in November to become world champion, but a date hasn't been agreed and is now in question after the Lancastrain's tweet.
He posted: "Some massive news coming soon, had to come to London for an urgent meeting about a massive fight, TBA very soon, u will not believe who!!!!!!"
